Delivery Reports
Track message delivery status — sent, delivered, read, and failed. Understand exactly what happens to every message you send and troubleshoot delivery issues quickly.
Overview
Delivery Reports give you full visibility into the lifecycle of every message sent through AethenoxAI. Each message passes through multiple statuses — from sent to delivered to read — and this dashboard tracks them all. When messages fail, you get detailed error information to help you resolve the issue.
Message Status Tracking
1
Sent
The message has been accepted by the AethenoxAI server and forwarded to the messaging provider (e.g., Meta Cloud API for WhatsApp). This confirms the message left your system.
2
Delivered
The message has been successfully delivered to the recipient's device. This status is confirmed by the messaging provider once the recipient's phone receives the message.
3
Read
The recipient has opened and viewed the message. Note that read receipts depend on the recipient's privacy settings — if they have disabled read receipts, this status may not appear.
4
Failed
The message could not be delivered. A failure reason is provided to help you diagnose and resolve the issue. See the Troubleshooting section below for common failure reasons.
Info
Message statuses update in real-time. You can view the current status of any message by clicking on it in the conversation view.
Delivery Rates
1
Overall delivery rate
The percentage of messages that were successfully delivered out of all messages sent. A healthy delivery rate is typically above 95%.
2
Read rate
The percentage of delivered messages that were read by recipients. This metric helps you gauge engagement with your messages.
3
Failure rate
The percentage of messages that failed to deliver. Track this metric closely — a rising failure rate may indicate issues with your contact list or account configuration.
Tip
Compare delivery rates across different message types (individual vs. broadcast, template vs. session) to identify which formats perform best.
Troubleshooting
1
Invalid number
The recipient's phone number is not registered on WhatsApp or is formatted incorrectly. Verify the number includes the correct country code and remove any leading zeros.
2
Recipient blocked your number
The recipient has blocked your business number. You cannot send messages to contacts who have blocked you. Remove them from your broadcast lists to avoid repeated failures.
3
Template not approved
You attempted to send a template message that has not been approved by Meta. Go to WhatsApp > Templates to check the approval status and resubmit if needed.
4
Rate limit exceeded
You have exceeded the messaging rate limit for your WhatsApp Business Account tier. Wait for the limit to reset or request a tier upgrade from Meta.
Info
If you encounter persistent delivery failures, check your WhatsApp Business Account health in the Meta Business Manager. Account quality issues can affect delivery rates.
