Contacts

Manage your contact list — add new contacts, organize with tags, and view conversation history for each contact.

Overview

The Contacts section stores all your WhatsApp contacts. Contacts are automatically created when someone messages you for the first time, or you can add them manually. Each contact stores their name, phone number, tags, and full conversation history.

Adding Contacts

1
Go to WhatsApp → Contacts
Navigate to the Contacts page from the sidebar.
2
Click "Add Contact"
Click the "Add Contact" button in the top-right corner.
3
Enter contact details
Fill in the contact's name and phone number. The phone number must include the country code (e.g., +91 for India, +1 for USA). Optionally add an email address and notes.
4
Save
Click "Save" to add the contact to your list.

Editing Contacts

1
Find the contact
Use the search bar to find the contact by name or phone number.
2
Open contact details
Click on the contact to open their detail view.
3
Edit and save
Modify any fields and click "Save" to update.

Tags and Segmentation

Tags help you organize contacts into groups for targeted campaigns and filtering.

1
Add tags to a contact
Open a contact's detail view and use the tags input to add one or more tags (e.g., "VIP", "Lead", "Support").
2
Filter by tag
On the Contacts list page, use the tag filter dropdown to show only contacts with a specific tag.
Tip
Tags are especially useful for Broadcast campaigns — you can target a campaign at all contacts with a specific tag.

Viewing Contact History

Each contact's detail page shows their full conversation history, including all messages sent and received. This gives you context before replying or reaching out.
